Thank you to all who participated in our bookmark contest in celebration of UN World Bee Day (May 20), offered by Waterloo’s Bee City Working Group and Waterloo Public Library.

Canada is home to an impressive number of pollinators including bees, butterflies, flies, beetles, ants, moths, wasps and hummingbirds, which spread pollen from one plant to another as they navigate flowers for food. Your creative designs demonstrate the wide variety of pollinators and habitat necessary for their survival.

Congratulations to our 2021 bookmark contest winners:

Age 9-11: Rhys, 9; Theo, 10 and Marshall, 9.

Age 12-13: Sadie, 12; Eva, 12 and Alyssa, 13.
